A Stand for Justice

Having been born and raised in the United States of America it is difficult for me to fully understand or comprehend the immense difficulties the Afghan people have been facing for centuries. Hope must be difficult to cling to, let alone pass on to future generations.

America was founded on the principals of Justice and Liberty for all, not just a privileged few. Our very Constitution and governing Congress was designed to represent and serve the will of the people. The founding fathers of America were instilled with the very belief that we are all one people and one nation under God, and that ultimately, God’s law was the pure definition of liberty and justice, something God himself would teach and instill in our hearts of we seek Him. We still seek it and fight for it today, not just in America, but for others who have not yet tasted and held it.

It is obvious that corruption reigns and rules in Afghanistan’s governing bodies and the latest presidential elections are further evidence of this truth. This is a shame. Change is long overdue. If America truly wants to strengthen Afghanistan and end the Taliban rule then drastic changes must be identified and set into place. The people and not the government, must be the recipients of America’s aid.

For this reason, I am proud to support Afghan Unity. Just as the American people stood up against the British rule commencing with the infamous Boston Tea Party which set into motion the establishing of the United States of America and our independence, I believe the Afghan people, with the support of the USA, must stand up to their corrupt government and the Taliban extremists.

America has extended their commitment to Afghanistan. Let not this campaign be a fruitless endeavor by giving more support to the same corrupt individuals who have no genuine concern for the betterment and welfare of the common people. Empower the Afghan people to make a stand for Godly liberty and justice and once they’ve tasted and held it they will be empowered to defend it.
